Sa Mesquida, a small hamlet on the east coast just north of Mahon boasting one restaurant, no shops and one of Menorca's finest beaches.
Drive through Sa Mesquida on an afternoon and you would be forgiven for thinking it was deserted. Try to get on to the beach on a weekend and you would have to be up early to get your parking spot as it seems sometimes all of Mahon's population heads there on a Saturday and Sunday in summer.
The beach has no facilities of life guard and can be steep for the first few feet so be careful when the wind and tides are up.
The one restaurant is very popular and considered on of Menorca's finest fish restaurants so pre booking may be needed.
